NVQs in Decommissioning

Three NUKEM staff based at Windscale attended a presentation to officially receive their Certificate of Achievement having successfully gained an NVQ Level 2 in Nuclear Decommissioning.
Phil Broadbent, Paul Williamson and Steve Buckley were presented with their certificates by John Ball, Regional Director for NUKEM. They are the first staff working on the Windscale site to be awarded with the qualification.
The Decommissioning Qualification is one of a suite of new courses delivered by GENII through European Social Funding. It is designed to provide a qualification to support people working in the area of nuclear technology decommissioning. The award fits into an engineering structure that is nationally recognised by employers.
