The Process Industry's Oscar Night

Over 400 process industry professionals and their guests gathered in London's Banqueting House on 5 October to celebrate innovation and excellence at the Annual IChemE Awards Ceremony.
The popular science broadcaster Adam Hart-Davies was on hand at to open the envelopes and announce the winners across 12 categories from a short list that included 45 entries.
AWE had entered the new Waste Treatment Plant at Aldermaston which was designed and built by NUKEM and it won the IChemE Water Award. The plant, which has been operating successfully for over a year, was described as "A unique combination of evaporation and reverse osmosis to treat radioactive effluent for safe discharge." Congratulations to everyone involved in the project.
