Nuvia has been training Apprentices for several years in Scotland, and we continue to develop the training program. Working with the Engineering, Technology and Energy Centre (ETEC) in Thurso means you'll gain the best experience, skills and qualifications to provide an excellent base for future Designers.

You'll attend the new Engineering, Technology and Energy Centre (ETEC) which operates as a hub for employer-led training and education in engineering and is at the forefront of providing innovative solutions to engineering apprenticeships. The center is based within the campus of the North Highland College in Thurso and is a state-of-the-art training facility to provide teaching in the latest engineering methods and techniques.

Nuvia Apprentices

In the 1st year you'll be based full time at the Engineering, Technology and Energy Centre (ETEC) and undertake a balanced mix of classroom and workshop based activities.

In the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of the scheme you will be based within the Nuvia design office in Ormlie Industrial Estate, Thurso undergoing on-the-job training mentored by the experienced design engineering staff. You will continue to progress your academic study at ETEC on a day release basis.
